YOGACISE EXERCISE
Here are 4 easy steps on one of the many exercises that you can do with Health Mark’s Yogacise bench.
- Place hands on the handlebar and slowly place your head in the headstand cradle making sure you’re completely touch the back. Once in that position, slowly walk your feet towards your face. As you walk, your spine will straighten out above your head and you will notice your weight slowly shift from your feet to your shoulders. When you can’t walk further, push your hands down onto the handlebars.
- Lift your feet into the air naturally as all of your weight shifts onto your shoulders. Continue lifting up your thighs until they are directly above your abdomen. Your elbows and shoulders should hold a majority of the weight of your body, not your head or neck. Keep knees bent for now. Tighten abdomen. Remain in this position for 30 seconds. Focus on your balance.
- When fully balanced, slowly extend lower legs up above the waist. Point your toes. Stay in this position for no more than 1-3 minutes.
- Once you’ve found your balance, you can work on scissoring your legs together. Tucking your tailbone and your ribs in will help you stay stable. Work your way up to holding for five breaths.

I could never do handstands without huge pillow/blanket support, (neck surgery)and now I can do them!!!!!! I can even balance perfectly upright with no wall support. You take the weight nicely over your shoulders and your neck is just relaxed. It went together in two clicks.
I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Yogacise yourself, inversion chair
For anyone just starting out in yoga or experienced Yogies this head stand provides comfort without the stress of weightbearing. Any neck or shoulder pain is easily avoided due to the fact that weight is maintained on shoulders, not neck and spine.

Wonderful Prop!
I use this for my headstands because I have neck issues. It allows me most of the benefits of the pose without putting any strain on my neck. Highly recommended!!

Excellent Product
I have a myriad of neck problems and headstands were contraindicated for me. I debated about ordering this lift but I am very glad I did. Not only can I benefit from the inversion but I am also developing some additional core strength. I would recommend this lift to anyone who needs the extra assist.

Health Mark Yoga Bench
Love, love, love this yoga bench! The relief I feel while using the bench is amazing, but it feels even better afterward. My lower back, knees, hips…even my sinuses feel better.

1st time use success!
I am retiring soon from office job & plan to have a small studio by next year. I was so excited when the Body Lift arrived. It took minutes to put together; then after watching the video (for safety) I was able to get into the headstand first try. When my husband saw me using the lift for exercises he became interested in using as well. So now he loves it too. So now there are TWO happy users for one price.

Same Benefit No Neck Pain
I suffer from cervical neck issues and doing a yoga headstand is difficult for me. I’m not quite strong enough to balance 100% on my arms and my neck gets some pressure. With this prop, I get 100% of the benefit of headstand and no risk to injury. It is SIMPLE to use, truly anyone can use it… Hope you try it.

A useful daily tool
I’ve been using this bench daily to do headstands and really appreciate its sturdiness, and the relief of pressure on my neck/head/spine. And you know what they say, headstand is king of the asanas. The bench is solidly built and is useful for doing weight training as well. My only caveat is the exercise cords are a bit wimpy and oddly placed, but I don’t really use them.

Just hanging around upside down!
I love my yogacise body lift. I really wanted to do inversions but I have a neck injury and head stands were too painful. With the body lift my head hangs freely and it actually help alleviate the pain in my neck.
So not only can I now enjoy the many benefits of inversions, it turns out it is very therapeutic for my neck.
I was a little disappointed in the DVD. I thought it could have given more instruction on how to use the resistance bands.
Overall, I enjoy this product very much.

Don’t Expect to Fold It
If you can keep your bench set up, then no big deal, but don’t expect to fold it and slide into the closet. When I got it, i had to get my husband to insert the pins, because it doesn’t line up. It took quite a bit of force to get the pins in and they cannot be easily removed. I complained about it to the vendor who contacted the manufacturer. the manufacturer claims that this is the way it is supposed to be.

Begrudging Respect
I don’t believe in sissy yoga props. I got this to do deep upside-down pushups. I have yet to do a clean, graceful upside-down pushup, but have somewhat angrily noted that this method of inversion is hands down, so to speak, the least uncomfortable method I’ve found. Inversion tables, the DEX, ankle-boots, hand/forearm/head stands all focus your bodyweight on fairly narrow areas, leading to discomfort, leading to excuses to not bother inverting. This unit spreads the stress out along your traps and shoulders, so with no shoulder nor neck problems, the padding makes this method almost painless. If you ignore the pins which allow you to fold the unit flat, it’s also excuse-free — zero setup time, just keep it somewhere you’ll necessarily trip over it regularly, and each time you are about to trip over it, invert instead (which takes much less effort and concentration than tripping over it.)
The trick to inversion is a) to actually do it, b) regularly, and c) for extended periods. This unit is actually inviting for all three, and while it doesn’t offer the additional potentials the other methods do, it’s again the easiest and most pleasant option I’ve found for simple 180 degree flat inversion.
Solid, well built, well padded; mine doesn’t have the exercise bands, but this unit is cheaper than those without the bands.

Versatile & Good Quality
I purchased this mainly to use for inversions but the quality of the bands & variety of options make it a great tool for resistance training as well. Love using it for headstand – the cushioning is great & it helps your body learn how to feel in inversions!

Awesome!
I am so thrilled with this purchase! I love that with the Body Lift you can work on core strength so that eventually you can go into sirsasana without it but that you have the comfort of a supporting neck rest until you get to that point! This has done wonders for my practice in the short time that I’ve had it and I would recommend it for anyone but especially those who have a psychological block with inversions and/or have had an injury! Can’t wait to show this to my students!!!
Thank you Gaiam!

Best Purchase
I ordered three of these for my yoga studio. I have students who are unable to do headstands and this product allows them to go upside down without the fear of injury. Very nice product.
i will be ordering more soon!

It’s the same machine
I realize that people reviewed both the Gaiam Yogalift Bench and the Healthmark Yogacise 2-in-1 Yoga and Exercise Bench. While people are raving about the latter (with one exception), has anyone but me realized that they are both the exact same machine? I guess the deciding difference is the price point, (if only a few dollars); Gaiam, while an excellent company, tends to price their items much higher than sometimes necessary, such as “organic”, more “natural” or no toluene nail polish, which can be obtained for much less in other holistic and organic establishments. This makes Gaiam somewhat of an “elite” company to me, because with some of their pricing, not everyone will able to or can afford to be in good health “the natural way”. I guess therein lies the beauty of shopping on Amazon.com; you can purchase the exact same items for much less if available from competing vendors, making Amazon the “breakfast of champions…” Oh yeah, the machine itself for helping people learn to perform headstands correctly, is way cool…once you figure how to use it, and if you purchase it from Gaiam and the DVD or manual (either of which is not bad to have) are missing, they will send it to you – free of charge; they’re good like that…
I took a chance not having seen this in person. But by the reviews I read I decided to give it a chance. I LOVE it. I now am inverted more often and love how that makes me feel with no worry about neck compression. I know good alignment, but I also know it is hard to maintain that for as long as I want to be inverted! I use this as a desk chair for my computer station and I can feel myself sitting up taller and in better alignment. Sturdy, good looking, firm cushioning, and all around great piece.

I received the product quickly and it was as advertised by Healthmark. Well made and requires no setup or maintenance. I am extremely satisfied. I ordered two other yogacise lifts without the bands that cost less at the same time I ordered the Yogacise Relaxation Station and I have still not received them. It has been over six weeks since I ordered them. If you are looking for a headstand stool go with this one!

I love this. Encapsulated shoulders had ended my headstand practice, until now! I’m impressed with the sturdiness, how well it is built, its ability to be transported (took it to my teacher’s studio so she could give me tips) and tucked away. Highly recommend.
